Project Summary

Vehicle manufactured in 1986, it was involved in an extensive restoration process regarding all systems and equipments (wood trims, carpets, soft top, leather, chrome trims, etc.).

Restoration time: 1650 hours.

Vehicle was completely disassembled and during this process all damaged parts or missing parts were noted.

The body was checked to determine the affected areas by rust, as well the optimal solution for removing the rusted components. Vehicle was used in Texas for almost 30 years so only small rust problems have appeared. Paint was stripping using chemical materials, and after this a smooth sandblast process was used to prepare the surface for next procedures.

It was required to replace passenger side floor element, and some small body works in the rear of the body.

All the other components / systems were verified, replaced (if needed), to ensure that the vehicle systems are working properly ( electrical installation, airbag, ABS, auto-pilot, air conditioning, suspension / steering systems.

The engine and gearbox have been completely restored.

Also, the differential was reconditioned, verifying the self-locking system, as well as replacing seals and bearings.

Refurbished and replaced body trims, wood trims, softtop, hardtop liner, leather and carpets. headlights, taillights.

Refurbished the interior.

Repainted the body in its original color.

The car was sold in Germany.
